Here we are, left Mooloolaba after almost one week.
Been waiting for the weather to change. Been raining everyday. Still spitting but thats fine.
Mooloolaba:
Arrived to Mooloolaba Wharf Marina. Lovely staff.
Didnt really like to be docked with all the others so we decided to anchor.
Very muddy and shallow but the great capten made it as usuall.
Had a nice time but feedup with all the rain.
Saw wonderful Angel Kate. She was there swimming, so happy to see her again.
She even swam all the way out to Oceans on anchor. That was brawe!
Murky water and a fear way out.
We had trhe blessing to get her over for a chat and a cup of tea.
Such a lovely woman!
Went in to the lavender shop, a really sweet shop with lots of lovely little things
Got to try a shoot of lavender syrup and that made me feel great.
Good for headache and stress and I got both so next day we walked over and bought a litre of it.
Then the lady in the shop tells us that they just bought a formosa over in the Phillipines and thats a yacht B have had an eye on for a long time.
Some great bargains out there
Sadly we never get to have them over for a visit, to much rain and not enough sunshine and comfort.
Hoping to see them again when we stop in Mooloolaba next.
Any all of you should have a look in the lovely shop.
Its right next door to the laundry.
They have scones and tea.
Go over and have a look.
Then there was Starship.
What lovely people and Timmy is very lovely to.
Our neighbours.
And they are friends of the O family so that was just crazy.
Very lovely!
They are heading north to.
Starship proved for me that a 40ft roomy boat is big enough.
After a few misserable days we found Lawrice marina.
Go there straight away, just make sure you go in at mid tide if you draw 6ft.
A good marina and good price.
Lots of lovely boats to look at and so close to the shops.
Really lovely marina manager.
We also got the luck to go onboard a trawler.
A big trawler that just spent 17 nights at sea and came back ith 5000kilos of prawns.
They showed us the trawler and explained everything for us.
Amazing stories and they turned us of trawlers.
So much ork and yoiu need to have 20 trades to be able to run the trawler in case anything goes wrong.
Really nice of them to show us the trawler, a two hour tour and it was great!
Hard to make a decision today, to leave or not to leave.
Sprinkeled down and Northerly winds, not great.
Starship left early in the morning.
Rang up coast guards sand straights and asked for advice.
They told us to leave, strong winds tomorrow.
Weather predictions are never right, never!
SSE 12 knots wind are in reality northerly!
So we left!
Now we are out here on the big sea.
Going past Noosa right now.
About 10hours ahead of us until we go trought one of the worst spots on the east coast,
WIDE BAY BAR!
It should be fine. Everything seams to be in our favour.
When visiting Mooloolbaba make sure you get a coffee and raisin toast from The good bean cafe
Delicious.
Coffee was great the first day, had three
Next day it was not so good.
Hopefully you will get it on a great day!
Pie at the local bakery behind Boost juice.
Fabioulus pies!
REally good and they are using MAP coffee so have a coffee to
Not a very great day. Its greay and not very nice and sunny
But we cant have everything!
There is no bad weather only bad clothes so Thank HARKEN for their great bamboo pants!
Spend almost three hours at the shopping mall yesterday trying to find a present for B.
That was hard.
All the things i wanted to buy him was almost 500 so that was way to much!
Will try to help Oceans to find some dolphines and whales...
FUN HUNT!
Fraser Island Next!
Skepp Ohoj!
