The Percy Islands

Have been without coverage on phone and internet for a while...

So I will try to start from last post...

Last post took me about three hours to upload photos and by that time I was to tired to write anything.

Island Head Creek was just stunning!

So to start with

The Percy's
About 40nm out at sea is The Percy group located
Everyone was talking about the Percys so we thought we had to have a look at it
Quite scary to be that far out at sea
So we arrived to Middle Percy almost at sunset
A dozen of boats anchored there and it looked quite sweet
A small beach with palmtrees and a hut on the beach
Anchor down just before sunset
Jumped in the dingy to have a look on the beach
I loved it
A small hut with swaps, take one leave one
A few books and magazines to swap and also notes on whos been there
Keept walking and came to Percy Yacht Club, now that was incredible
A two story hut that yachties buildt
With tables and chaires, working bench, lights, large bbq area at the back, honey and lime juice for sale from the island and posters, paintings, souveniers that yachties left behind al the way back to the 60s. Just incredible
B didnt like if but I thought it was really cool
Lots of mossis... no good!
But apart from that there wasnt much more
Back to Oceans and time for bed
CHecked the chartplotter to make sure we where ready to leave in the morning
Wasted alot of time and fuel to get al the way out there for not alot to look at
We almost had no fuel left and no wind to sail
No coverage on phones or internet
Chartplotter was not working properly and we where running out of charts

So we woke up in the morning
No weather reports because of no internet so we listened to the radio for the weather
On our way to leave and the chartplotter wasnt working
It was turning on and of every five minutes
Not enought fuel
We would have just enough fuel to mackay and we would get there just before dark
No chartplotter so B had to use the compass, he is a good kapten.
I dont tell him that but he really is a good kapten
It was quite a nice trip, even the surcomstanses was quite SHIT
Almost a t Mackay we got coverage on the phone
Phoned up Raymarine and the best service I have ever had
He helped me to factory reset the chartplotter
We lost all our waypoints and routes but we got it working again
Thanks for that great service

Got in to Mackay marina, now thats a big marina
I freaked out as usual
Got in to the berth and had a look around
Lots of really nice boats

Mackay wasnt really anything nice
In the morning we had to wait for the fuel pumps to be serviced, they stoped working and when that was done we headed of to Brampton Island
